This past week Mr. Malik and I headed up towards the far north-west to shoot some interviews for Nokia Store. As this was my first real trip to Canada, I was pleasantly surprised at the experience! Read more after the break.
For the first time in a long time, this trip was...relaxing. From the flights, to the arrivals, car rentals, it was all very smooth.
Not really sure what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised at the conference room given to us to shoot in. Each wall of the space looked radically different from the other, and we were able to build lots of different shots out of each one. One of the problems we've always traditionally had with office spaces is a bland space; it's difficult to get a creative background behind a speaker. The room was a delight though, and we were able to get a lot of great imagery out of it.
After the long day, coupled with jet lag, Nick and I retired back at our hotel (conveniently connected to a mall). It was a slow night, and we chose unwinding over exploring the city. With such a short time in a country, it does hurt to pass up the opportunity to explore, but relaxing is just as important.
Cheers!
